Obsessed is an thriller film directed by Steve Shill and written by David Loughery. It is due to be released in the UK on May 29, 2009, and in the US on April 24, 2009. A married couple’s (Idris Elba and Beyoncé Knowles) life is thrown into disarray when a temporary office worker (Ali Larter) develops an obsessive crush on the man in this Screen Gems thriller. Cable veteran Steve Shill (Big Love, The Wire) directs from a script by David Loughery, with Beyoncé and her father, Mathew Knowles, acting as executive producers.
A successful professional man with a beautiful wife finds his idyllic life threatened by a temp in his office who reveals herself as a stalker. Derek (Idris Elba) is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage to the beautiful Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles).
But when Lisa (Ali Larter), a temp worker, starts stalking Derek, all the things he’s worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy. The trailer of the film was premiered on Entertainment Tonight. It was also a trailer shown before Friday the 13th in theaters.
