The trailer was released in April featuring the single Stronger by Mary J. Blige, which she released in support of the film.
e soundtrack will be released on September 29, 2009 on Harvey Mason Music/Zone 4/Streamline/Interscope Records. The movie features the song Stronger by Mary J. Blige and “If You Dream” featuring Tank, Toni Braxton, Tyrese, Omarion, JoJo, Charlie Wilson, and Faith Evans. The soundtrack will also feature a collaboration track produced by Boi-1da with rappers Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem called “Forever” as the second single off the soundtrack.
The third single off the soundtrack will be “I’m Ballin” by Souljaboytellem which is produced by the production team HamSquad. Another song titled “Drop It Low” by Ester Dean featuring Chris Brown will also appear as a single off the soundtrack. Polow Da Don will executive produce the set, which will also include songs by T.I., Young Jeezy and others, according to Rich Paul, who works with James as a part of their marketing company LRMR.
