Bride Wars is an upcoming romantic comedy film directed by Gary Winick and written by Greg DePaul and June Raphael & Casey Wilson. The film stars Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Candice Bergen, Chris Pratt and Kristen Johnston. Two best friends become rivals when they schedule their respective weddings on the same day. 13 Going on 30’s Gary Winick directs the 20th Century Fox production. Raphael and Wilson completed the shooting script of Bride Wars, from a story by Greg DePaul, before the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike began. Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith also contributed to the screenplay.
Some principal photography took place at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. The film has been mainly filmed in Boston, Massachusetts, New York City, New York, and in Salem, Massachusetts.
